Car Park
The event car park will be open from 08 am, please do not try to arrive before this time.
The main car park is hard standing. It is located at the Cropwell Bishop Creamery dispatch unit – a 5-10 minute walk from the start-finish:

The overflow car park will be on the grass field at the Memorial Hall:

Please note that the entrance to this car park is also the start of the event.
Please do not park on the main road leading to or from the Memorial Hall, as this could hinder emergency vehicles in the event of an accident.
We would appreciate runners sharing lifts where possible. We will prioritise the hard-standing parking at the creamery to minimise wear and tear on the Memorial Hall grass field.
Race Numbers & Registration
All race numbers must be collected in the marquee before the start of the race.

Your race number contains important safety information on the reverse, to be filled in before pinning your number to your vest. Safety pins will be provided. Please ensure your race number is securely fastened to the front of your shirt/vest. The number must be visible at all times during the race.
Bag Storage
We have a manned bag drop. You can collect a baggage tag in the baggage tent to label it with your race number. Bags will only be returned to the runner wearing a matching race number after the event.
Pre-Race Drinks
We will endeavour to open the kitchen counter earlier than in previous years. Hot and cold drinks will be available from 8 am. Bacon or veggie butties and homemade cakes will be available from 9 am.
The Race Start
The race will start at 10.00 am.
A safety briefing will be given at 09.30 am by the marquee. All runners will be called forward to receive this important safety information.
As last year, the start of the race will be at the back of the field. (not on the road like before 2024). Consequently, there will be more time for runners to place themselves in the lineup before the start.
Course Distances
The Stilton Stumble is a UK Athletics-certified 10km course. Distance markers will be present at 1km intervals.
Drink Station
Our drink station has been relocated closer to the 5km marker, halfway round the course, at Colston Bassett. The station will provide you with water in cups. Waste bins will be located after the station for you to dispose of your drink. Please do not dispose of your cup along the route. If you wish to carry your cup for a greater distance, we would appreciate it if you wait to pass one of the distance markers or safety signs to dispose of the cup, so that it can be picked up later by event staff.
The Race Finish
Upon crossing the finish line, please clear the area quickly to allow space for subsequent finishers. Cheese, medals, water and juice, and a snack will be handed out after you cross the finish line.
Hot Drinks
All competitors will be offered a free hot drink of tea or coffee at the kitchen on production of your race number. Please note that there will be a charge for more “premium” drinks, such as hot chocolate.
Disabilities
If anyone has a disability that they need to inform the event staff of, please do so by email before arrival.
Earphones
In accordance with UK Athletics rules, bone conductors headphones are allowed. All other types of headphones are not allowed. Please note that apart from the start, the roads are fully open to traffic. It is paramount that you can hear approaching traffic and guidance from the marshals for your own safety.
Dogs
Our event centre, the start and the finish are located on Cropwell Bishop’s playing field, which is a dog-free area, as children play on this field during the evenings and the weekends. Please arrange that your support crew does not bring along your dog to the finish area.
Please ensure you read the event Terms and Conditions before you participate in the race. By participating, you are automatically accepting these terms and conditions. We aim to make your race experience as efficient and rewarding as possible. Please support us by following the instructions of the event staff and volunteers.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 12th of October and hope the weather is crisp and clear, as it has been since 2022.
